Biography
This is Jun Zhao, an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. I received a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the USA, affiliating with CMU’s renowned CyLab Security & Privacy Institute, and a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in China.
Before joining NTU first as a postdoc and then as a faculty member, I was a postdoc at Arizona State University (ASU) as an Arizona Computing PostDoc Best Practices Fellow. I have received best editor awards from IEEE journals and best paper awards from conferences/journals.
Research Interests
My research interests include Security/Privacy, Blockchain, Digital Trust, Privacy-preserving Techniques, Homomorphic Encryption, Zero-knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), Federated Learning, Artificial Intelligence (such as Foundation Models, Large AI Models, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Quantum AI) and Mathematical Optimization for Wireless Communications/Networks, Edge/Fog/Quantum Computing, etc.
